SCOPE NY Oneida & Herkimer Chapter

Please join us for the September meeting of the Oneida & Herkimer Chapter of SCOPE at Fraternal Order of Eagles Club 10513 Cosby Manor Road Deerfield NY, at 7:00 PM, Monday, September 12th, 2022.

*** The meeting will be DOWNSTAIRS ***

Agenda for this meeting

With the hunting season soon approaching us here in Central New York, SCOPE is putting together an informative meeting for gun owners and hunters. With the new gun laws taking effect Sept 1st, barring any lawsuits, especially the CCIA (Conceal Carry Improvement Act) we want to educate the gun owner & hunter on the new laws. This meeting is designed to be a non-political meeting and we will try to make it an informative meeting, with a question & answer format.

Those being invited will be our local representatives in Albany and local officials from Oneida & Herkimer Counties that we are hoping can give us the answers we are looking for.

Invitees will be Oneida County Sheriff Rob Maciol and Herkimer County Sheriff Scott Scherer. Senator Joseph Griffo, Senator Peter Oberacker and Assemblywoman Marianne Buttenschon. Assemblymen John Salka, Assemblyman Brian Miller and Assemblyman Robert Smullen. No confirmations yet

Audience members being invited besides the SCOPE members will be members of the local gun clubs in Oneida & Herkimer County. Local gun shops in Oneida & Herkimer County have also been notified to let their customers know about the meeting.

Please let us know if you will be able to take part in this forum on the new gun laws.

Just a reminder, if your SCOPE membership is up for renewal, please renew so your membership doesn't laps. You can drop off your renewal at the meeting or use the renewal form on the back of your Firing Lines newsletter.

Please stop by and bring a friend. Yes, we still have shirts and hats available for purchase.

Remember you do NOT have to be a member of SCOPE to attend these meetings. We are open to the public and encourage everyone to join us.
