We of Chemung County wish to thank the SCOPE Board of Directors for
certifying our chapter on October 16. We hope to become a strong leg
within the organization.
Per the by-laws requirement to have an election of officers within 90
days of certification, we had an election at our October 22 meeting. We
retained the slate of Ron Havlen as chairperson, Tom Reynolds as
Secretary, and Ross Yaple as Treasurer. We are pleased to add Jarrod
Lomozik as our Vice-Chairperson.
Our next meeting will be on March 25, 2026. In the meantime, those of
Chemung who wish to attend more meetings during the winter are
encouraged to go to the Steuben County Chapter meetings held the 1st and
3rd Monday's of each month. These are at the Bath Rod and Gun Club, 7771
Telegraph Rd, Bath NY. Really its only about a half hour drive from
Chemung County. In addition, I encourage members to visit the Schuyler
County chapter page of this website, and view the monthly legislative
update put out by Steve Getman. Always informative.
And during the winter months while I'm in Florida, I send monthly
reports to my Chemung County Scope e-mail list. I'm happy to include
anyone who wants to receive these reports to e-mail me. I'll be back at
our March meeting, where we will again have chapter board elections.
